Grand Bay is 3 acres being developed with 150 waterfront condos ranging from $500,000 to $2,000,000. There will also be 5 buildings to house retail shops and restaurants that will have a St. Armand’s boutique feel. [51 units were sold on opening day of sales with all buyers being on site] University Park Golf Course Lots are selling at over a million dollars. A recent sale shows $1,375,000 and others are available with costs to $1,600,000. Area Keys are showing top sales with recent sales at $9 million on Casey Key; $5 million on Manasota Key, and $13 million on Lido. Babcock Ranch is a 17,000 acre property in Port Charlotte which is being developed into a community with 17,000 homes, shops, etc; as well as, a large natural preserve. Gulf Gate has a new owner, who is to eliminate the Golf Course and build homes to raise the density to 4.5 homes per acre. The golf course land was never plotted as open space, which allows for this expansion.
