Sarasota Real Estate & Population Growth

March 15, 2008 by Perry Corneau · Leave a Comment

Noted economist Hank Fishkind projects that Sarasota’s population will continue to grow.  His projections for 2008 predict an increase of 5,081 people over the 2007 total of 385,663.  Increases in population for 2009 and 2010 are 7,675 and 7,342 respectively.  Total increased population in Sarasota is expected to rise by 20,000 over the next three years.  It is no wonder that real estate inventories are going down.  The market will look very different in three years.  Now may really be the best time to buy.
