Sarasota Real Estate Sales, March

For the first time since July 2007, more than 500 homes were sold in a thirty day period. this past March 514 homes sold, according to the Sarasota Multiple Listing System. There were 344 single family homes and 170 condominium units. The March figures were an increase of 21.7 percent over that of February. An additional 674 property sales were pending in March. Inventory levels of available properties are lower than last March at which time the total number of available homes was 10,596 and the total number of available condominiums was 6,180. In March of this year the total number of homes and condominiums were 10,025 and 5,588. The average days on market for those properties sold in March were 152 for single family homes and 181.
