Longboat Key Beach Renourishment

The city of Longboat Key spent $1,000,000 for beach renourishment only to see much of the sand wash away. Currently The city plans to install four breakwater just off shore on the north end of the key to mitigate future errosion caused by wave action. With breakwaters inplace the beach will again be renourished.
