Over the years I have helped many clients build real estate investment portfolios. Historically our focus has been on prime waterfront condominiums with seasonal rental income. These types of properties are always in high demand and provide steady rental income and pride of ownership. These properties have gone up in value more than other types during the boom years and have retained a greater percentage of their peak value during the post bubble years.
Buying staying away from the highly speculative pre-construction fad of 2004 – 2006 my clients have escaped the losses of that so many have incurred. In todays market there opportunities among the foreclosures and short sales. We are also finding great values in properties with motivated sellers with high equity that can afford to price their properties to sell.
