Located on the southernmost end of Longboat Key, The Inn on the Beach is bordered on one side by the Gulf of Mexico and on the other side 18 holes of golf. In all there are 45 holes of championship golf, 38 har-tru tennis courts, an elegant spa and 5 restaurants. The resorts 222 units are considered a condotel and as such the owners may participate in the on-site rental program and receive a percentage of the hotels revenues.

Fisherman’s Haven, a great deal on a three bedroom beachfront condo

Today, while working with clients I view some very nice three bedroom condos on or near the beach. One of the best properties I found was a beautiful beachfront three bedroom condominium at Fisherman’s Haven. The condo which had a price reduction this morning is now priced at $549,000. I have been told that the owner is motivated. Amenities include a pool, boat docks and a beautiful beach. This condo is an excellent rental. It has been updated dramatically with high quality finishes including crown moldings, halogen track lighting, granite counter tops wood cabinets, stainless appliances and much more. Longboat Key Beach Renourishment

The city of Longboat Key spent $1,000,000 for beach renourishment only to see much of the sand wash away. Currently The city plans to install four breakwater just off shore on the north end of the key to mitigate future errosion caused by wave action. With breakwaters inplace the beach will again be renourished.

The Longboat Ke CLub in currently in the final stages of planning and approval of a proposed $400,000,000 expansion of the resort and club. The expansion will bring a new hotel additional resort amenities, condos and jobs and tourism to Longboat Key.

Longboat Hilton Expansion

The owner of the Longboat Key Hilton recently filed application to expand the hotel. Currently the hotel has 102 units. The proposed expansion would bring that total to 187. The new plans would also incorporate a new restaurant, bar and banguet rooms.
